I really love the withered by still colorful rose against the snow. You did a great job with lighting and composition on this one. It's just perfect in its simplicity.
Even withered, a rose is still pretty. I like how you put it up against the snow. I took lots of pictures of my Valentine flowers and was so glad I did when they began to wither and droop.
Well, now I feel bad for tossing my roses less than a week after Valentine's. I guess I'm not creative enough to see the beauty in their afterlife. You captured so much in this one picture, though. Wonderful!
I love this picture and I can't pinpoint exactly why. It makes me think of older women who are still beautiful to behold although obviously showing the signs of age. Your mom would be a perfect example of what I'm talking about!

The photo is kind of bittersweet. The colors are really nice and the old rose against the snow is thought provoking.
Snow and roses...beautiful combo. You are very creative, Paula!

Lots of imagery and metaphor there when you think about it. It is a simple, profound, and beautiful photo.

Very, very pretty.
This looks like how the last line in Bette Middlers, The Rose, would look :o)
